Welcome

Hey everybody. Welcome to my new blog (my other one is HighTech Redneck Woman). This blog is completely different from my other one. I’m using it to chronicle my journey into getting healthy. I’m also using it as a motivational tool. If I don’t work out and eat healthy, then I won’t post here. And if I don’t post here, what’s the point of even having it. So hopefully it will keep me on course.

I’m also hoping that you, my readers (hopefully there’s at least one), will keep me going as well. If you don’t see a post for a while, leave a comment telling me to get off my ass and post about what’s going on in my journey.

What will you find around this place? Well, in addition to updates on my progress, I’m going to try to post tips and healthy recipes that I might find. Then, maybe I can help you while I’m helping myself.

I still need to tweak things around here to suit me, so things might look a little wonky for a while. But be assured, I will get things in order soon. Then I can concentrate on the updates.

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s hope my journey is a success. :D

  1. Woo hoo! This is a good idea! Have you downloaded “Lose it” for your iTouch yet? You should! It has some cool features – I just wish it would sync to some kind of desktop app. I am thinking about getting the Nike shoe thingy that goes with the program that came with the itouch… Have you used it? Can’t get fit without getting geeky!

I really wish I wasn’t obsessing about a bowl of cocoa pebbles right now…. must….resist….

  2. I’ll have to look for that app and download it. I did look around for some apps the other day, but didn’t download anything. As for the Nike app, no I haven’t tried it.

And I know all about those obsessions. I’ve got a couple cans of Pringles in the pantry that have been taunting me. Not to mention all the baked goodies from Christmas in the freezer. But I’m gonna take some of those to work on Monday.

  3. What a wonderful idea. I know I’ve been thinking about getting fit and losing weight for awhile, so I may just “steal” this idea from you. It may be a motivator. :D

  4. Bobbi … to be honest, I stole the idea from someone I follow on Twitter.

I think we need to form a support group for all of the bloggers trying to get healthy. I’d suggest a site ring, but didn’t they go out of style a long time ago. LOL
